Do I need to have a Computer Science Degree to participate?

No, Dufuna graduates studied a wide range of subjects including English, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Public Health, Maths, Education and Computer Science.

What skills would I acquire?

You will acquire skills in Analysis & UI Design, Programming (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, SQL, React, Algorithms & Data Structures and Software Version Control), Problem Solving, Dependency Management, Debugging and Employability depending on the track you apply for

What type of role would I qualify for after the programme?

You will be able to work as a Junior Software Engineer with a focus on the frontend web, backend or mobile depending on the track you choose

Can I switch to a different track on the programme?

You can switch within two months of starting the programme

What is the selection process?

Applicants will be selected after taking a short Assessment Test

What kind of support will I get during the programme?

Mentorship, Peer Support through Slack, Career Support

Will I have someone to go to for help?

Yes. You will have access to support engineers throughout the programme.

How much does the programme cost?

The programme costs £480, payable in 12 monthly installments of £40.

Entry-level Software Engineers earn between £18,000 per year to £32,000 per year according to payscale.com

Will you help me to get a job after the programme?

We source internship opportunities from technology companies. About 50% of the internships secured by past students have come through our network. It is your responsibility to find a job but we will support you through the process.

Are scholarships available?

We don't have any scholarships at the moment. We are actively speaking to potential donors to fund full or partial scholarships. If we are successful, we'll make the scholarships available. Please note that there are no scholarship guarantees.
